About me
I love shoes, chemistry, movies, sports and books. Some call me the biggest girly-girl they've ever met, while others the biggest tomboy. It's a grand conundrum. Flowers make me happy, and I would much rather be given them than something practical, unless I was given semi-practical shoes with four-inch heels. But seriously, in my opinion, flowers are the greatest gift.
Being a purebred Canadian that's half Quebecois and a quarter Newfie, there is literally a nucleotide sequence in my genetic code stating that I love hockey (Go Habs!) However, as few girls I know actually play ice hockey, and I'm not good enough to play with all the guys, I must content myself with volleyball and floor hockey.
Being Canadian, I like to support various unknown Canadian artists, such as Ash Koley, Hannah Georgas, and Arrogant Worms (well, Arrogant Worms are reasonably famous now, but I'm pretty sure the others are still trying to break out). I love Sara Baraeilles' music, Taylor Swift, Michael Buble (Canadian), not keen at all on Justin Bieber (also Canadian, but most of us don't mention that :P ), and Disney Songs.
And transitioning from that, I cry like crazy at sad Disney moments, as well as at any sickeningly romantic part in other movies.
And speaking of which, My favourite movie is undeniably The Princess Bride, followed closely by The Lord of the Rings. I have recently become an insane Marvel fan, though I have always preferred X-Men to every other superhero movie. Star Wars is awesome, Indianna Jones is awesome, Tangled is awesome, Thor is awesome, Captain America is awesome, anything with Hugh Jackman is automatically awesome, The Chronicles of Narnia is awesome, and the list could go on for quite a while.
I adore Jane Austen's books and the movie adaptations that have followed. I really love classics, and I own quite a few, but alas! I haven't got around to reading most, making me feel horribly guilty.
Learning Chemistry makes me happy, but I hate it when teacher review stuff I know. NO MORE BOHR DIAGRAMS! TEACH ME QUANTUM MECHANICS! Nerd moment.
Never had a boyfriend, never been kissed, never gone on a date, and I'm 18. I fill this void by falling in love with any and all hot actors who play awesome characters (*cough* Chris Hemsworth *cough*)
Though you may not believe it through Tumblr, I am highly introverted and would much rather become a hermit than ever deal with human interaction again, but seeing as my roommate is highly extroverted, I don't think that will be my lot in life.
